Some smart lad at Microsoft leaked out the Technical Preview of Office 2010 onto a Russian torrent or technology website a few hours ago. I wrote about the registration for the technical preview a few days ago (see post). I couldn’t wait for the release in July so I hopped on the bandwagon of pirates and downloaded my copy. 
Word 2010
There were a few changes here and there, most notably the loading splash screen now seems to incorporate a few animation and splashy effects. It pretty much loads the same time as Office 2007. Moreover, it’s responsive and smooth despite that I’m using it on my MSI Wind netbook. For instance, Microsoft Word 2010 roughly takes about 50-60MB or memory. Not bad at all
Additionally, Microsoft Word 2010 had the most updates in the whole office suite as they incorporated a “screenshot tool” and a text effects button in the ribbon. Furthermore, all the applications in the Office suite feature an “autohide” button to remove the ribbon and add in some extra workspace. Good thinking there! 
Another feature which the Office team added was a brand new user interface to the “Office Button Home Screen” in which application in the office suite has its unique color background.
As long as you can run Office 2007, one will be able to fully operate the new version Office easily and efficiently!
Office 2010 Home
And yes I have a feeling that this was intentionally leaked in order to gain as much feedback from the public as Microsoft now included a little smiley program which allows them to gather comments, suggestions and feedback from the end user. Another smart move.

I don’t believe that the download links here are correct anymore… It seems someone did something to the wzor site, so I just took a quick trip to the Bay to get it. It’s still downloading though. While it is, i have a question: Is this version stable enough to remove 2007? Or does it still have a lot of kinks to work out?

And to your question, it’s actually quite stable as it’s a technical release for the public, thus, a lot of bugs were ironed out during the internal beta testing. It’s up to you really in keeping your old Office suite installed. Although, I only have Office 2010 installed on my netbook and I’ll be using it for a presentation later on today

Woot! this is great news… waaah! I still haven’t fully explored Office 2007 and here’s another version of the MS Office Suite?
It’s very similar to Office 2007, however, it packs in a few new features which you should look at. If you’re in a hurry you can always download a torrent of Office 2010
I’m a bit hesitant as the first people who downloaded the leaked Windows 7 builds are now part of one big botnet.
Well, thats true in the case of Windows Vista. Anyhow, those who downloaded and installed the botnet version of Windows 7 can easily remove it with an anti-virus program if I’m not mistaken. Make sure you always scan files you’ve downloaded from torrent website. I suggest AntiVir for a free Anti-Virus solution.
