A few people who have contacts and sources within the headquarters at Microsoft Redmond have said that the final build and version of Windows 7, which be released to manufacturing, will be ready by July 13.
The very same RTM (Release to Manufacturing) build will be made available to Microsoft’s MSDN and Technet users a few days after. These users include developers and technology professionals who pay a high yearly subscription fee in return to most of Microsoft’s products.
Windows 7 will officially be released in stores this October 22, 2009. Moreover, those who opted for the cheap upgrade plan will receive it an earlier date.

the interface of Windows 7 is great but in my opinion Windows XP is still a very solid and stable operating system. Right now, I would never give up XP for Windows 7.
Yeah, I’ll probably use Windows XP for the next couple of years or so. I’m not yet really sold out with Windows 7 at the moment.
