Flying Cars. How many times have we heard or seen them in futuristic movies and cartoons? Remember the Jetsons? Anyhow, an American company called “Terrafugia Transition” will soon be launching its two-seater flying car.
Transition has already done a test flight a few months ago in March and they will continue to test it during the next several weeks to come. The flying car will allow drivers to set up the wings of the vehicle within minutes and you can be flying over traffic in no time. This certainly be of use in the endless traffic jams here in the Philippines.
The flying car can fly up to 725 kilometers in the air at a speed of 115 kilometers per hour. Not bad at all. On the other hand, the vehicle will require a special type of license in the United States called a sport pilot certificate in order to fly it.
One can easily fit the car into any average garage as the wings are foldable. The car is expected to ship in 2011 with a price tag of $200,000.
I’ll wait for a decade for a proper flying car to be released into the market. I’m talking about a hovering vehicle just like the DeLorean found in the “Back to the Future” series. Now that’s what I call a flying car!

725 kilometers in the air? The only way this thing could get that high would be inside the space shuttle.
If I’m not mistaken, it’s 725 kilometers in terms of distance.
hmmm… it still looks like a plane to me more than a car. hehehe…
OMG… i want one…
